I was thrilled to be able to keep my feet on the ground in San Francisco this week, no travel, no driving – nothing. Just incredible views on my morning walks and tons of home-cooked meals. Here’s the thing. It’s a marathon, not a race loves. Remember that when it comes to home renovations, big or small. The secret to my success has always been slow and steady, one detail at a time. Ya, sorta’ have to, I think, with full-time jobs, kids, etc. You can only do it some at a time. It’s Not For the love of kitchens – which is my favorite, of course, but it doesn’t all come together in one hour. Just do what you can, and you will create a home you love! I promise – cross my heart.
Speaking of details, I’m circling this hanging linen lantern light for the living room in the Cabin. Keeping with the mid-century mod vibes, I thought these natural textures and soft glow would bring the entire space to life. I’ll have to install electrical, as the living room has no overhead light, but this is a grand scale and price.
Speaking of lighting, I literally fell in love – yes, head over heels for this adorable handmade burlap moss green table lamp. The cabin needs a ton of lamps – that’s the secret to making things feel warm and cozy y’all. Just fill your rooms with the glow of lamps, and you will create a vibe. I found her on Etsy, and she is going right next to my bed nightstand tables as soon as possible. If only the floors could be finished. Speaking of things that take time. Sigh. Lol.
I’ve been brainstorming decor we will be using in our cabin and remembered how much I love staghorn ferns as living art pieces for interior design. I created a simple Staghorn fern mounting guide so you can easily bring smaller plants, distinctive ferns, and even tropical greens into your living space – you’re welcome! Check it out here and send me your finished photos.
